The XINXIA 57 mm vented laundry detergent pail cap is a multifunctional packaging closure developed for laundry detergents and other household chemical liquids that may generate gas or experience internal pressure changes during storage and transportation. The cap combines a secure threaded closure, an integrated waterproof breathable membrane and a practical pouring-spout structure.
When pressure increases inside the sealed container, the breathable membrane provides a controlled gas-release path. This helps reduce the risk of pail swelling, cap loosening, container deformation and leakage around the closure. At the same time, the membrane helps resist the penetration of bulk liquid, external moisture and dust under suitable application conditions.
The standard cap is designed for a 57 mm container opening. Cap material, color, membrane performance and structural details can be customized according to the customer’s container drawing, filling formulation and packaging requirements.
Laundry detergents and other daily chemical liquids are frequently packaged in airtight plastic pails. Internal pressure may gradually develop after the container has been filled and sealed.
This pressure can be caused by formulation activity, residual gas, filling temperature, environmental temperature changes or vibration during transportation. Air and liquid inside the package may also expand when the container is stored in a warm warehouse or transported inside a shipping container.
A standard non-vented cap prevents the accumulated gas from escaping. As the internal pressure increases, buyers may encounter several packaging problems:
For manufacturers and packaging engineers, changing the complete container may require expensive new tooling. Installing an appropriate vented cap is often a more efficient solution.
The XINXIA vented laundry detergent cap integrates a breathable membrane into the upper part of the closure. The membrane contains a microporous structure that allows gas to pass through while helping block bulk liquid and external contaminants.
When internal pressure rises, gas reaches the membrane and is gradually discharged through the venting area. This pressure-equalization process helps reduce continuous stress on the pail walls, threaded connection and sealing surface.
The cap also incorporates a red curved pouring spout. It guides the detergent during dispensing and helps commercial or household users control the liquid flow more conveniently.
The complete cap therefore provides three important packaging functions:
| Parameter | Specification |

The final airflow and water-entry pressure values depend on the selected membrane model, effective venting area, installation structure and testing conditions.
The 57 mm vented pail cap is suitable for packaging products that may generate gas or experience pressure fluctuations during filling, storage and transportation.
Typical applications include:
The cap is especially suitable for large plastic pails used in wholesale, institutional, industrial and export markets. It can help manufacturers improve packaging reliability during long-distance shipping, warehouse storage and changing environmental temperatures.
Material compatibility and filled-package testing should be completed before the cap is approved for a new chemical formulation.
After the pail is filled, the 57 mm cap is installed onto the container opening. The threaded closure and sealing surface form the primary mechanical seal.
If gas accumulates inside the container, the internal pressure becomes higher than the external pressure. Gas moves toward the venting area and passes through the microporous breathable membrane.
The membrane provides a controlled gas-exchange route without using a completely open vent hole. It helps resist liquid penetration while allowing pressure to equalize gradually.
During dispensing, the red pouring spout guides the detergent out of the container. The venting and pouring components work together but perform different functions. The membrane manages internal pressure, while the spout controls the liquid flow.
Actual performance depends on the detergent viscosity, chemical composition, gas-generation rate, container orientation, internal pressure and membrane specification.
Provide the complete bottle-neck or pail-opening drawing, including the outer diameter, thread dimensions, sealing surface and installation height. A physical container sample can also be supplied for fit testing.
The detergent composition, viscosity, pH range and chemical characteristics affect the selection of the cap material and breathable membrane. Compatibility testing is important for aggressive formulations.
Different products generate gas at different rates. The required airflow should be selected according to the expected internal pressure, container volume and storage conditions.
Higher airflow does not automatically mean better packaging performance. The selected membrane must provide an appropriate balance between gas release and liquid-entry resistance.
Before mass production, buyers should evaluate cap fit, sealing, airflow, liquid resistance, pouring performance and transportation stability using the actual container and filling product.
Kunshan Xinxia Plastic Packaging Co., Ltd. can provide prototype samples and recommend membrane options according to the customer’s technical requirements.

Yes. Different membrane models offer different airflow and water-entry pressure performance. We select the membrane according to the formulation, container volume and gas-release requirements.
The cap provides a controlled venting path that helps reduce internal pressure and the risk of swelling. Final performance must be confirmed through testing with the actual liquid, container and storage conditions.
The membrane is designed to allow gas exchange while helping resist bulk liquid penetration. Leakage resistance depends on the membrane model, liquid chemistry, pressure, installation and container orientation.
Yes. Samples can be prepared for cap-fit, airflow, sealing, pouring, compatibility and filled-package testing before a bulk order is confirmed.
