The XINXIA D15 Vent Cap is a pressure-relief packaging component designed for agrochemical drums and containers with a cap size of 55.3–55.8 mm. It integrates a D15 venting structure with a waterproof and breathable membrane, allowing accumulated gas to escape while helping prevent external water, dust, and contaminants from entering the package.
Agrochemicals, liquid fertilizers, pesticides, disinfectants, and other chemical formulations may release gas because of temperature changes, transportation vibration, chemical reactions, or long-term storage. Without reliable pressure equalization, the packaging drum may swell, deform, leak, or become difficult to open. The D15 vent cap provides controlled airflow to balance internal and external pressure while maintaining container sealing performance.
Manufactured for B2B packaging applications, this vented cap can be matched with different membrane grades according to required airflow, water-entry pressure, chemical compatibility, and protection level. Cap colors, membrane performance, packaging, and other specifications can also be customized for OEM projects.
Agrochemical products often face demanding storage and transportation conditions. Containers may be exposed to high temperatures in warehouses, direct sunlight during loading, temperature changes during sea transport, or significant altitude differences during air and land transportation.
Some chemical formulations can slowly release gas after filling. Even when gas generation is limited, the expansion of the air and liquid inside a tightly sealed container may increase internal pressure. This can cause several packaging problems:
A completely sealed cap may not release this pressure effectively. However, an open vent hole would expose the contents to water, dust, and other contaminants. Therefore, agrochemical packaging requires a controlled venting solution.
The XINXIA D15 Vent Cap combines a fitted packaging cap with a functional breathable membrane. The microporous membrane provides a controlled gas-transfer path while acting as a protective barrier against liquid water and external contaminants.
When pressure rises inside the drum, gas passes through the membrane and is released to the atmosphere. When the external pressure becomes higher, air can enter through the same venting path to help prevent container paneling or collapse.
Different membrane grades can be selected depending on the chemical formulation and packaging requirements. For products containing surfactants, oils, solvents, or highly active ingredients, an oleophobic membrane may be recommended to reduce membrane wetting and help maintain stable venting performance.
The cap and membrane combination can be evaluated according to the customer’s container design, liquid composition, filling temperature, transportation method, storage conditions, and target airflow.

Final specifications should be confirmed through sample testing with the actual container, cap torque, filling material, storage conditions, and transportation environment.
The D15 vent cap can be used for herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and other pesticide formulations that may generate pressure during storage or transportation.
Liquid fertilizers and plant-nutrition products may release gas or experience volume changes under different temperatures. Controlled venting helps reduce drum swelling and leakage risks.
Certain disinfectants, oxidizing liquids, and concentrated cleaning chemicals require pressure equalization. A properly selected membrane can release gas without leaving the container directly open to the environment.
During long-distance road or sea transportation, temperature and altitude changes can create pressure differences. The D15 cap helps the packaging adapt to these changing conditions.
The cap is also suitable for other compatible chemical products that slowly produce gas after filling. Membrane selection must be based on the actual chemical composition.
The D15 vent component contains a microporous membrane with a large number of extremely small pores. These pores allow gas molecules to pass through while helping block liquid water and larger contaminant particles.
When internal pressure increases, gas moves through the membrane from inside the container to the outside. This reduces pressure accumulation and helps protect the cap, drum body, and sealing area.
If the container cools or the external atmospheric pressure increases, air can pass inward through the membrane. This pressure-balancing process helps prevent the drum from collapsing or becoming difficult to handle.
The membrane does not absorb or chemically neutralize gas. Its main function is to provide a controlled passage for pressure equalization. Therefore, chemical compatibility and airflow capacity must be correctly matched to the packaged formulation.
The standard cap size is 55.3–55.8 mm. Customers should provide the container-neck drawing, cap sample, thread dimensions, sealing structure, and required tightening torque.
Provide information about the active ingredients, solvents, surfactants, oils, and chemical concentration. These factors may affect the membrane’s performance and determine whether an oleophobic grade is required.
Products with faster gas generation require higher airflow. Choosing a membrane only by cap size may result in insufficient venting or unnecessary protection loss.
The appropriate membrane should balance airflow with resistance to water entry. A high-airflow membrane and a high-water-entry-pressure membrane may have different performance characteristics.
Testing should be conducted with the actual drum, cap, liquid, filling volume, cap torque, storage temperature, and transportation conditions. We can provide samples for preliminary evaluation before mass production.
The cap size is 55.3–55.8 mm. Please provide your drum-neck dimensions or an existing cap sample so that compatibility can be checked before ordering.
It is designed to release accumulated gas and equalize pressure, which can significantly reduce the risk of swelling. The final result depends on the gas-generation rate, membrane airflow, container structure, and storage conditions.
The breathable membrane is designed to allow gas transfer while helping resist liquid-water penetration. The specific water-entry pressure depends on the selected membrane grade.
An oleophobic and hydrophobic membrane may be recommended for formulations containing oils, solvents, or surfactants. Compatibility testing with the actual liquid is necessary before mass production.
