The XINXIA custom-shaped EPE foam sealing gasket is designed for sealing, gap filling and cushioning at the connection points of plastic components. Made from lightweight expanded polyethylene foam, the gasket can be die-cut into elongated strips, oval pads, rings, frames and other irregular shapes according to customer drawings or physical samples. Holes, slots, notches and positioning structures can also be customized to match screws, clips, pipes and assembly points.
When compressed between two plastic parts, the flexible EPE foam conforms to small surface variations and helps reduce gaps, vibration, friction, dust entry and assembly noise. The product is suitable for plastic housings, equipment covers, appliance components, smart furniture, electronic enclosures and other OEM products.
For customers in XXX, XINXIA provides drawing evaluation, material selection, prototype sampling and mass-production support. Custom thickness, density, shape and adhesive options can be evaluated according to the installation structure.
Injection-molded plastic parts may appear flat and uniform, but small dimensional tolerances, surface irregularities and assembly variations can create gaps at the connection points. These gaps may allow dust, moisture or air to enter the housing. They can also cause vibration, friction, movement and noise during product operation or transportation.
Direct contact between two hard plastic surfaces may produce additional problems. Screws and clips can create concentrated pressure at certain positions, while other areas remain insufficiently compressed. Repeated vibration may cause rattling, surface wear or reduced assembly stability.
Rigid sealing parts are not always suitable for irregular plastic structures. They may require extremely accurate dimensions and may not compensate for variations between different production batches.
A custom-shaped EPE foam gasket provides a flexible intermediate layer between the plastic components. It can follow the contour of the joint, fill small gaps and distribute assembly pressure more evenly.
XINXIA manufactures EPE foam sealing gaskets according to the customer’s 2D drawing, 3D assembly structure or physical sample. The material can be die-cut into simple or complex shapes, including long strips, oval components, rings, frames and multi-hole sealing pads.
The gasket is placed between two plastic components before final assembly. When the parts are connected by screws, clips, ultrasonic welding or another fastening method, the EPE foam is compressed. This compression helps fill the joint and creates a cushioning barrier between the plastic surfaces.
Hole positions can be customized to avoid screws, locating pins, wires or fluid passages. The outer shape can also be matched to the plastic housing so that the gasket remains correctly positioned during assembly.
For projects requiring easier installation, single-sided adhesive backing can be evaluated. The adhesive temporarily holds the gasket in place before the second plastic component is installed.

Custom EPE foam gaskets can be installed between plastic covers, shells, panels and base components. The gasket helps compensate for small assembly gaps and reduces direct contact between hard plastic surfaces.
The product can be used in water dispensers, cleaning appliances, kitchen equipment, humidifiers, air-treatment products and other household appliances containing assembled plastic housings.
Massage chairs, adjustable beds, intelligent seats and other smart furniture products may contain plastic covers, electronic control housings, pipes and mechanical modules. EPE foam sealing strips can help provide cushioning and reduce vibration or rattling between connected components.
Custom foam gaskets can be installed around control panels, display housings, sensor covers and electrical boxes. Cutouts and holes can be designed around wires, connectors, screws and locating structures.
Plastic access panels and removable covers may require a compressible material around the connection surface. EPE foam can help fill the joint while allowing the panel to be opened during maintenance.
The gasket is suitable for pumps, dispensers, containers, automotive interior components and other molded plastic products. Final suitability should be verified according to the working environment and required sealing level.
The EPE foam gasket works through controlled compression.
Before assembly, the gasket is positioned on the connection surface of the first plastic component. Holes, slots and outer edges align with the screws, locating pins and joint contour.
When the second plastic component is installed, the EPE foam is compressed between the two surfaces. The foam deforms slightly and follows minor surface variations. This helps fill uneven gaps and distribute pressure across the connection area.
The compressed foam also creates a cushioning layer that separates the two hard plastic surfaces. This layer can help reduce vibration, friction, impact and assembly noise.
The final sealing effect depends on the foam thickness, density, compression level, joint design and surface condition. For applications requiring a specific dustproof, moisture-resistant or airtight performance, testing should be completed using the final plastic assembly.
1. Can the EPE foam gasket shape be customized?
Yes. The outer shape, length, width, thickness, holes, slots, notches and cutouts can be customized according to your drawing or physical sample.
2. Can you manufacture gaskets with multiple holes?
Yes. We can produce EPE foam sealing gaskets with multiple positioning or screw holes. Please provide the hole diameter, spacing and distance from the outer edge.
3. Can adhesive be added to the gasket?
Single-sided adhesive backing can be evaluated for easier positioning during assembly. Please provide the plastic material, operating temperature and application conditions so that a suitable adhesive option can be discussed.
4. Is an EPE foam gasket completely waterproof?
EPE foam has a low water-absorption structure, but the final waterproof performance depends on the gasket design, compression, plastic surface and joint construction. Waterproof or airtight requirements should be verified through testing of the complete assembly.
5. What information is required for a quotation?
Please provide a dimensioned drawing, foam thickness, required quantity, application description, hole positions, adhesive requirements and expected sealing function. If no drawing is available, a physical sample can be sent for evaluation.
