The XINXIA custom silicone duckbill valve is a compact, flexible one-way valve designed to control the directional flow of liquids or gases while helping prevent backflow, leakage and contamination. Its integrated duckbill-shaped slit opens automatically when forward pressure reaches the required level and closes when the pressure decreases or reverses. No spring, metal component or external actuator is required.

How It Works

The silicone duckbill valve operates through pressure difference and elastic recovery.

As forward pressure increases, the lips of the duckbill slit gradually separate. Air or liquid then passes through the opening. The amount of flow depends on the pressure, slit length, wall thickness, silicone hardness and medium properties.

When forward pressure decreases, the elasticity of the silicone returns the lips to their original closed position. If reverse pressure occurs, it pushes the two lips together more tightly, improving the backflow-prevention effect.

Because the valve does not use a metal spring, it offers a simple structure, quiet operation and compact installation.
