The XINXIA PE Double-Ring Vent Gasket is a customized pressure-relief sealing component designed for installation inside dispensing pump heads, bottle closures, and functional packaging systems. It features a three-layer structure consisting of a PE film upper layer, a PE chemical or physical foam core, and a PE film lower layer. The double-ring design provides stable positioning, cushioning, sealing support, and controlled airflow inside the pump assembly.

When the packaged liquid releases gas or when internal pressure changes during storage, transportation, temperature fluctuations, or repeated dispensing, the gasket helps discharge accumulated air through the designed venting path. An optional ePTFE waterproof breathable membrane can be welded or laminated onto the venting area to allow gas transmission while helping prevent liquid leakage, moisture penetration, dust contamination, and packaging deformation.

Cause: Why Pump Packaging Needs an Internal Vent Gasket

Many liquid products can create pressure changes inside their packaging. This is especially common with hydrogen peroxide solutions, disinfectants, cleaning agents, bleaching products, liquid fertilizers, agricultural chemicals, cosmetic liquids, and other formulations containing volatile or gas-releasing ingredients.

Without a suitable pressure-balancing component, several packaging problems may occur:

The middle PE foam layer offers compression recovery, cushioning, and tolerance compensation between plastic components.

Depending on the customer’s application, the middle layer can be produced using chemical foam or physical foam.

Chemical PE foam is suitable for many cost-sensitive packaging applications and provides good cushioning, flexibility, and sealing performance. Physical PE foam offers a more uniform closed-cell structure, stable compression performance, cleaner appearance, and controlled material properties for applications with higher quality requirements.

How It Works
