application
This series of membranes could be used in Automotive Lamps, Automotive Sensitive Electronics, Outdoor Lighting, Outdoor Electronic Devices, Household Electrical and Electronics etc.
The membrane can balance inside/outside pressure differentials of sealed enclosures while blocking contaminants, which could increase components’ reliability and extend their service life.

What are the applications of waterproof breathable film?
Potential problems with communication equipment: Equipment used in the telecommunications industry is subject to rapid fluctuations in ambient temperature, while also coming into contact with various particles, and is always exposed to wind, rain, sunlight and other climatic conditions. For example, when a device such as a tower top antenna with active electronics is in operation, heat can accumulate inside the device housing. This will lead to an increase in pressure, making the housing seal subjected to greater stress. In addition, a sudden rainstorm or strong wind may cause a sudden drop in temperature, resulting in a vacuum of 200 mbar (3 psi) or more inside the equipment housing, which will also place greater stress on the housing seal. If the pressure inside and outside the shell cannot be balanced, the water, moisture, dust and dirt in the external environment will enter the inside of the shell through the sealing gap. This can have an adverse impact on the performance of the communication equipment, resulting in more repair work or greater repair costs. Solution: Maintain the balance of pressure inside and outside the shell through constant ventilation. After the outdoor communication equipment is installed with waterproof breathable film products, the pressure difference caused by temperature changes will no longer have a negative impact on the equipment housing, because the waterproof breathable product can quickly balance the pressure inside and outside the housing when the ambient temperature and pressure changes.
